Approaches

The ALN filter has three approaches :

Jugular or Brachial or Femoral

Acces by high route (per preference order) :
- Right Internal Jugular Vein
- Left Internal Jugular Vein
- Basilic vein ( Brachial approach)

Acces by low route (per preference order) :
- Right femoral vein
- Left femoral vein

Implantation area

In the absolute , the head of the filter must be placed just beneath the lowest renal vein.

A cavography must always be performed to confirm the most appropriate implantation area.
